When you hear the name Pence in sports, you probably think of Hunter Pence. While Hunter is an amazing baseball player that has had a crazy successful career with the Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, and Texas Rangers, his wife Alexis is very successful in her own right.
Alexis runs an amazing blog and youtube series called Let’sGetLexi. The Youtube series is a fun and refreshing look at her life in and around baseball. She covers everything from her day to day life, coffee reviews, adventures, beauty, unboxings, home tours, food, quarantine life, and my personal favorite, packing up Hunter’s locker at the end of every baseball season.
Earlier this year she expanded her brand to include Pineapple Labs. Pineapple Labs is a coffee bundle line. Every month Alexis picks a special brand of coffee and a mug designed to go with it. All proceeds of the bundles benefit the chosen charity for that month. Once a bundle is sold out, it is gone until the next bundle is released in the following month.
Without further ado, meet Alexis Pence.

How would you describe yourself and what you do?
I am a lifestyle vlogger, wife to Hunter Pence, dog mom to Foxy Pence, and most recently, owner of my own specialty coffee line Pineapple Labs.
Who or what inspired you to start your YouTube Channel?
Hunter!! He gave me the encouragement to start. He told me to make my first video and if it wasn’t good, don’t post it. Just start by making one video, see how it goes, and go from there. I immediately fell in love with the process and now I love being able to look back on videos and rewatch special moments from world series, wild cards, and travel!
What does an average day for you look like during the baseball season vs the off season?
They are so different! During the Baseball season, we stay up late and wake up late always planning around baseball games. He’ll normally leave for the field around 1 and won’t get back till about 11-11:30pm. He gets so little free time during the season. So mornings in our house are sacred. It’s when Hunter and I get to spend quality time together. Plus with all the travel, we’re always on the move. This year is definitely a little different with me not being able to travel. We’ll see how it goes!
In the offseason, we try to slow down and enjoy the downtime. We try to be on more of a normal schedule. We love eating dinner at the dinner table since we rarely get to do that and we fill our time with friends, vacations, and much-needed family time! Both always include LOTS of coffee!

How do you decide what to document in your videos vs what not to? How on board is Hunter about the videos and appearing in them?
I vlog pretty much everything! It’s important to show the good and the bad. It’s not always glamorous. We can go from sipping champagne at the All-Star game to then having to rehab in a new city! I’m prepared for everything and anything and I share it all. I want people to learn about baseball life because it’s a very eccentric lifestyle. We’re very blessed but there are definitely a lot of ups and downs. These families sacrifice a lot and I want to share with people that this game is life for us.
What inspired you to start your coffee bundle line?
We have always loved coffee and we finally found the time to create our own. To be able to share my love of coffee and pick special mugs is so cool! Big thanks to Greenway Coffee for helping me.
What is the best piece of advice that you received when it comes to you or your brand?
Be authentic. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Being true to yourself is definitely key. In the long run, being authentic will be the easiest way to keep the content and passion going. You’ll also always love what you do.

What has been your favorite baseball memory with Hunter?
All of them, from winning games to traveling to new coffee shops, it’s all the best! But also, watching him win in the 2014 World Series.
What’s been your favorite part about being a baseball wife? What’s your least favorite?
There are so many great things! One that I’m thinking of today, probably because I’m missing it the most right now during shelter-in-place is the friendships that are formed during the season. You spend so much time with other wives and you form these incredible bonds that you start referring to them as your baseball family. It’s so incredibly special.
My least favorite part is the packing and unpacking. Ha!
What’s next for you professionally?
I’m looking to grow Pineapple Labs into more things I’m passionate about.

What advice would you give to some of your viewers that are inspired by your youtube channel?
Love yourself and love your community even harder! Our world needs all the love it can get and it starts with us. Hospitality starts with you.
Bonus question: Five of your favorite ballparks or cities that you like to visit?
- Chicago
- Miami
- New York
